This was one of my series at the recent Local First photo exhibition. The Chef’s Challenge is an annual event at the Farmer’s Market where chefs from three local restaurants receive a secret ingredient and have about 45 minutes to create a dish that will be judged by a panel of judges. All of the ingredients are purchased that morning at the market. This year the participating restaurants were Pallet, Avenues Bistro on Third, and Finca. The secret ingredient was purslane and the big winner was Finca!
